The NACE Boston Community Service efforts have contributed to the soul of our group for many years. The professionals of NACE Boston are talented, kind and always excited about any project that will bring positivity to the community. We participate in a variety of community service events throughout the year.
NACE BOSTON'S NOVEMBER GRATITUDE INITIATIVE
Rescuing Leftover Cuisine Massachusetts has rescued over 130,000 pounds of food since the start of the pandemic, including over 23,000 prepared meals for homes in need of free and healthy meal deliveries. During the Month of November, share your gratitude by volunteering with Rescuing Leftover Cuisine Massachusetts (RLCMA). The upcoming months will remain critically challenging for those experiencing homelessness and food insecurity. RLCMA needs our help to ensure more food donations are successfully transported during the month of November!

FENWAY FUN DAY - SEPTEMBER 2018
WOMEN'S LUNCH PLACE - MOTHER'S DAY 2017
On Mother's Day 2017, we served 185 women with dignity, respect and lots of love. Mother’s Day is a big holiday, but for many women, especially the guests at Women's Lunch Place it’s a challenging day. Having the ability to extend our talents and help make those who would not have been able to celebrate on this day feel special and appreciated, was a gift.
Thank you to our amazing sponsors!

BIRTHDAY WISHES - NOVEMBER 2017
In November of 2017, right before our monthly event at the Hampshire House, we decided to roll up our sleeves and wrap birthday parties in a box.
Birthday-in-a-Box (BIAB) program serves homeless children in domestic violence shelters, scattered sites, motels, and other locations which cannot be accommodated by Birthday Wishes Party Coordinators. The BIAB Program allows birthday wishes to reach homeless children in almost any living situation.
We purchased and carefully packaged party supplies inside a brightly wrapped boxes.... We did over 20 boxes in just 1 hour! These boxes delivered to the program, agency, motel, or other facility for distribution to families, along with a bag of wrapped gifts for the birthday celebrant. Each birthday box contains everything necessary for a great birthday celebration.
To say we had a blast is an understatement!

COMMUNITY SERVICE THROUGHOUT THE YEAR
When you are hungry, Food is Love.
For many years, catering and event industry professionals have witnessed thousands of tons of wholesome food being dumped at the end of events. In 2011, a concerned group of industry professionals joined together to create a solution to this problem, and the Feeding our Neighbors initiative was begun.
The Committee began by researching the law as it applied to food donations from venues and caterers to food rescue operations. They quickly discovered the Bill Emerson Good Samaritan Act, passed by Congress in 1996, specifically written in order to encourage food donation.
The law protects good faith donors from any and all, criminal and civil liability when donating apparently wholesome food to non-profit organizations. The Bill Emerson Act creates an umbrella of national protection to all individuals, corporations, venues, caterers and food rescue operations.
